GeoGuessr is coming to Steam after years in your browser
GeoGuessr, the popular browser-based geography game that launched in 2013, is finally making its way to PC with a new Steam listing. Despite being 12 years old, the game will enter Early Access when it debuts sometime in April 2025. In GeoGuessr, players are dropped into a random Google Street View location and must determine their coordinates. Over the years, the game has built a surprising competitive esports scene, which the Steam edition aims to expand with a focus on ranked play and competitive modes. According to the Steam listing, the game will stay in Early Access for “at least six months” as developers introduce “new game modes, maps, and competitive features.” At launch, it will support ranked Solo Duels and unranked Team Duels, with cross-play available between the Steam and browser versions.
